New Year’s Day Yoga Nidra with Roseanne

Are you ready to cleanse your body and psyche as you enter into the New Year? Release toxins from the cells. Release underlying residual stress. Clear mental clutter. Feel renewed with Yoga Nidra. The experience will include a light asana practice, breath work, Trataka (candle gazing) and Yoga Nidra, deep relaxation in the state between sleep and wakefulness. Yoga Nidra is practiced in Savasana-the Corpse pose.

Come in comfortable clothing that you can move in and also relax in. Come with a Samkalpa- an intention for your practice that is your heart’s desire. *(This will be an internal journey in which you have the opportunity to dive into the self, nourishing your being. The Samkalpa is not shared aloud, it is internally stated).

Please bring an extra blanket and mat, if you have one.

Join this workshop to learn a practice called the Divine Light Invocation where consciously, and with awareness, Light is welcomed into our bodies temple and shared graciously with those in need.

In this 2 hour online workshop we will explore what Light means on a personal level and where in our life the Light is needed - taking time to reflect and share.

Join Lindsay for an outdoor yoga experience every Sunday on the lawn in front of the Goddard College Clockhouse. This morning yoga class will meet you where you are and offer a chance to stretch, strengthen, and relax. An excellent way to prepare for the day ahead! We will focus on opening the body to relieve tension, with special attention to the hips, hamstrings, and back. Lindsay will take you through a gentle progression of poses and end with breathwork and savasana. Appropriate for all ages and levels. Please bring a yoga mat, towel, yoga props (blocks and a strap), sun protection and wear layers. This class will be socially distanced and is limited to 9 participants. Workshop instructors, Geri Ann and Rae, offer elements of chakra healing they each learned during their individual journeys to heal from breast cancer. Participants will be guided to deepen their intuition through sound and gentle yin yoga postures for each chakra. By tuning into the physical, emotional, and spiritual meaning and feeling of each chakra, vocalization and movement in the workshop can help support balance and healing in the mind, body and spirit. He will present Indian ragas in a cozy relaxed setting on the sarod, a 25 stringed Indian lute. Julie MacAdam is an experienced yogini and yoga instructor and will lead us in a relaxation.

Please join Jesse LoVasco, herbalist and artist, for a two-hour immersion drawing nature seed pods and leaves!  You do not have to consider yourself an artist. You will be using your ability to see as a tool for capturing the uniqueness of each plant. 

Enjoy exploring, observing and drawing seeds pods and leaves. Focus your attention on details, shapes, and textures through close observation. Increase your ability to capture lines and curves, depth and contour and the continual beauty nature shares in the last of autumn’s gifts.

Open to all levels of drawing.

Come join Ancient Light Reiki for Reiki I certification. Reiki Masters, Jackie and Ellia, will weave an energy web to learn the ancient art of Reiki medicine spiced up with their backgrounds in shamanism, mental health and mindfulness. In Reiki I you will learn the history of Reiki, Reiki for self and others, hand positions, understand chakras, receive Reiki I attunement, and more. In Reiki II you will deepen your knowledge from Reiki I, learn Reiki II symbols and how to use them, receive Reiki II attunement, create your own Reiki ritual, learn distant healing and more.

There will be a great deal of experiential learning and practice in both Reiki I and Reiki II with the expectation to practice at home with other humans and animals. These Reiki classes facilitate healing journeys for ourselves, creating a deeper connection to self, our loved ones, nature and the word. Please join us on this healing journey!

When did you last feel into your heart? Offered it sincere well wishes? Come together and do just that! The practice of Metta meditation, or Loving-kindness, is one where we befriend and take a gentle stance towards the totality of ourselves. It welcomes our pain, sadness, joy, and fears; all treated equally. In this class you will gain a teachings on Metta, guided instruction, a chance to practice within a group setting, and opportunity for question and answers.
